It didn’t take long for a gentle Doberman Pinscher to welcome newborn baby Macie into the family. His family in Crawley, England recently caught the dog on camera bringing Macie his favorite toys and putting them in her pram. His tail wags happily as he delivers them.
Tommy has always been a smart and affectionate dog. His dad writes on ViralHog:
“We got Tommy in August 2019 at around 3 months old, so he has not long turned 2 years old now. My wife and I have always wanted a dog since buying our own house, and always loved Dobermans due to their loving and loyal nature, along with being very clever and easy to train. He has always well surpassed our expectations at anything thrown his way, from being trained to stay at home whilst we go out, to swimming and playing with all other dogs.”
Tommy’s intelligence and sweet nature extends to children too. Dad writes:
“We have had him around family and friends toddlers and children in the past and his whole character changes, he gets down to their level and just lays with them letting them stroke him. He is so gentle and careful, it must be a natural instinct!
Macie was born in the early hours of Saturday 3rd July 2021, we had all the baby things left up around the house for at least a month before to get Tommy used to it and make sure he knows its not his to play with, he not once even needed telling…perfect!”
All that preparation and training has paid off when newborn Macie came home.
Comments dad, “So we brought Macie home on the Sunday afternoon, both greeted Tommy and got him settled before bringing Macie in, we let him smell her worn clothes and told him ‘gentle!’ He knows that command well.”
