Vets Slow Dance With Puppies To Make Them Feel Better After Surgery

A cuddle and some comfort will chase away the the blues. That’s what the vet tech staff at Baltimore Animal Rescue and Care Shelter (BARCS) in Maryland believe. And they put this thought into action every time there’s a puppy who undergoes surgery.

In a heartwarming video shared by the animal rescue, vet techs Dennis Moses and Amanda Greenwell give some comfort to two puppies waking up from their surgeries.

“Our Sunday surgery crew slow dancing with puppies waking up from anesthesia,” wrote BARCS upon sharing the video. “We have the best team.”

It must be a frightening experience for the puppies, who are not only at a shelter, but also groggy and disoriented from the anesthesia. Rather than wake up in a cold kennel, these sweet pups get to wake up in the loving arms of the BARCS team.

This is not the first time Dennis has been caught on camera comforting his canine patients. A video of him comforting a Pit Bull puppy named Meesha recently went viral.

It’s so heartwarming to see these young pups being treated so tenderly and sweetly as the staff prepare them for their new lives.
