The elephants at the Elephant Nature Park in Thailand are free to roam about on the large rescue sanctuary. But at the end of the day, they return to their shelters for “dinner and a night of rest.” Except for baby elephant Sa Ngae (Jai Dee). He’s got his own agenda.
The caregivers at the sanctuary shared this adorable video of Sa Ngae figuring out how to escape his enclosure and have some fun.
First up, he runs over to say hello to the Pyi Mai family who live in the adjacent shelter. Then, it’s time to explore. At one point, he runs towards the cameraman but rethinks that. He’d better not get too close, he might get caught…clever fellow!
When he’s done exploring and playing he makes his way back to his enclosure, especially when his mom beckons him back. Once back inside, it’s time to sleep…and dream about tomorrow’s adventure.
