A dog got himself rescued after appearing outside a shelter. Theoklitos Proestakis, also known as Takis, runs a shelter in Greece with hundreds of rescue dogs. He was inside feeding the dogs when he noticed the dogs at the fence barking at something outside. When Takis went to look he found a dog curled up in a ball and shivering.
The dog was scared but was likely drawn to the sound of the dogs barking. The poor dog was shaking from the cold but Takis reassured “Smart” that he did the right thing. Knowing the dog wasn’t feeling well, Takis brought him inside and let him sleep by a warm fire. But morning the dog was still a bit shy, but his tail was wagging happily. Smart knows he has found a safe place and a home.
