Bullied Wild Stallion Chooses To Trust Woman And Their Friendship Saves His Life

A young wild stallion would have had a short, lonely life if he had not befriended a woman who gave him a family. CJ was observing the wild horses in her area when she noticed the horse being chased off by his father and banished from the herd.

With no other horses in the area, “Surfer Dude,” as she named him, was facing a lonely life. That’s when CJ decided to see if she could help him. She contacted the elder of the tribe who owned the land to ask if she could rescue Surfer Dude. From there, she started the long process of building the horse’s trust.

After months of visits, she was able to pet him and scratch his back. He even would let her guard him while he slept. A while later, CJ got the terrible news that Surfer Dude had injured his leg and she thought the worst. But CJ was about to learn that the stallion was “just too strong to give up.”

Watch Surfer Dude’s rescue and his journey to finding his new family in the video below:

Thanks to CJ, Surfer Dude is no longer alone or stressed out. He loves being a domestic horse and has a band of horse friends.
