Mechaele Loraff wasn’t expecting to capture the photo that’s now become a viral sensation when she was driving to work in Buchanan, Michigan. As she explains to “Fox and Friends” she decided to stop and take a picture of the sunrise and it wasn’t until she got to work and shared it on Facebook that she realized she had captured a cross in the sun.

“I took the picture because of the beam coming straight up off the sun and only saw the cross after I took the picture!” she explained. She also points out the image was in no way manipulated. “Trust me, I have no clue how to Photoshop,” she said. The photo, she said, captured Mother Nature “at her finest”.
