Stray Mother Dog And Her Puppies Rescued From Derelict Home

A stray dog named Georgina lived on the streets in Malta, surviving with help from residents on the Mediterranean archipelago who fed her daily and loved her. And every year, twice a year, she would give birth to a litter of puppies inside an abandoned, derelict house.

Rescuers tried to catch her in order to spay her but she was wily and always managed to escape any trap they set.

The Association for Abandoned Animals (AAA) worked with the people who knew Georgina to keep on top of the situation. They had successfully managed to capture most of Georgina’s previous puppies and find them good homes. But others were stolen by strangers and sold for a profit.

Finally, after six years and almost 100 puppies, rescuers set to work to get Georgina and her three-day-old puppies safely off the streets.
