Shirley Temple Sings ”When I Grow Up” In Classic Performance

One of America’s most beloved performers of all time is Shirley Temple. Shirley was what entertainers call a “triple threat” even at a young age. She could dance wonderfully, sing beautifully and act too.

In the video below, Shirley performs “When I Grow Up” from the 1935 film “Curly Top” and she gets to show off her incredible talents, “aging” from a little girl to an “old woman” (although she’s only 7-years-old at the time). She even skips rope! Her cheerful persona and talent helped many people forget their troubles during the Great Depression.
