The rescue of one of these three abandoned Chihuahuas is especially poignant when you find out what happens after they are saved. Marty, Penny and Brooklyn were dumped on the LA streets and endured many hardships before Hope For Paws arrived. Two had even been shot with bb guns. A woman in a wheelchair told Eldad Hagar she had been feeding the friendly trio and it wasn’t too difficult for Eldad to catch them.
They were immediately taken to the vet and cleaned up. Sadly, Penny died just 4 days later from heart failure. The one comfort is that the small dog so heartlessly abandoned spent her last few days off the streets, happy and loved. As for Brooklyn and Marty, they found loving families.
