World’s First Size 22 Supermodel Got Start By Telling Others ‘Eff Your Beauty Standards’

Meet Tess Holliday. She’s become the world’s first size 22 supermodel and it all happened because she took control of her body image for herself and challenged people’s conceptions of beauty.

“You can be beautiful regardless of your size,” the plus size model recently told People magazine.

The 29-year-old began breaking down barriers because of her strong will to succeed and her success in social media.

Growing up in a small town in Mississippi, Tess had a traumatic childhood and was socially isolated and bullied at high school. But she always dreamed of modelling.

When she was a single mom working in Walmart, she decided to take a huge risk and pursue her dream of modelling, despite being just 5 feet 3 inches tall and weighing 280 pounds.

She began sharing photos of herself on Facebook and Instagram and founded a campaign she called “Eff Your Beauty Standards”.

Her campaign attracted a huge following and soon she had over 650,000 Instagram followers and millions of fans on Facebook.

Her strong messages of empowerment and her photos soon attracted the attention of the fashion industry.

Before long, MiLK Model Management signed her to their agency.

Now she’s been regularly featured in clothing campaigns and in high-profile magazine covers!

It’s been a dream come true for Tess.

Her inspiring journey and positive message to challenge society’s conceptions of beauty, is one that deserves to be shared!
