Teen Who Did Not Know She Was Pregnant Unexpectedly Gives Birth In Bathroom

A Wisconsin teen thought she had the stomach flu ended up giving birth to a baby in the toilet!

Braeley Pettigrew had none of the normal signs to indicate she was pregnant. Over nine months, she had no noticeable weight gain, no movement in her belly. In fact, she finished her entire basketball season at junior hight without any issues.

So when she recently woke up thinking she was sick and went to the bathroom, she wasn’t expecting to give birth. But that’s what happened. After what she thought was a tough bowel movement, the teen noticed a baby boy had fallen in the toilet.

She was shocked, but quickly pulled the baby out, wrapped him up in a towel and cut the umbilical cord. She was also scared and panicked, fearing what her family might think. She ended up telling her mom that someone had left the baby on the front porch. Her mom called 911, but noticed blood stain on her daughter’s clothes and asked Braeley about it. Braeley told her mom the truth and after police arrived, they were taken to hospital. Both mother and baby are fine and no charges were laid.

The unexpected baby news has brought the family together. The baby, named Kayden, is in good health and Braeley plans on keeping the infant. Braeley and her family had planned on visiting colleges she was interested in this Spring, but those plans are temporarily on hold, although she says she plans to finish high school and attend college.

Wow! that’s very unexpected news. But from the looks of things, this teen mother is taking responsibility for Kayden and thankfully has the support of her family!
