Stranded Dolphin Whistles To Man For Help

A dolphin that got stuck in the mud of a river bank called for help and a heroic builder answered. Leon De Sola Pinto had turned up to his building site on the banks of the Helford River in Cornwall when he heard a clicking and whistling coming from the water.

He went down to the shallow bog and spotted the dolphin stuck in the riverbed three miles from the nearest sea. The animal’s bottom fins were stuck in the mud and he couldn’t move.

After going into the water and trying to free the dolphin Leon realized that the marine mammal was exhausted and would need help. And Leon realized he would need help too. Watch the rescue in the video below:
