You may not have thought to skin a watermelon before, but after you see Mark Rober’s party trick, you’ll want to try it.
The former NASA engineer says the trick works with any size of watermelon. To start, you will need two watermelons almost identical in size.
With one watermelon, make shallow cuts until there’s no more green rind. Once you’ve carved away all the green and white, use new dish-scrubbing pads to smooth the sides of the watermelon.
Next, take the the second watermelon and cut it in half. Scoop out the inside so that the first watermelon fits inside. Mark says the whole process will take less than 20 minutes and will be a heck of a lot more popular than potato salad!
It looks pretty cool, and you won’t have to worry about cleaning up the rinds afterwards either!
