‘Angel’ School Bus Driver Makes Big Difference In Kindergarten Kid’s Life

A kindergartener having trouble behaving in class has had a remarkable turnaround thanks to the school bus driver Mr. Charles.

Earlier this year, Kameron began misbehaving in class at his school in Berkeley County South Carolina. His mom, Kelly Eisenberg says Kameron was sent to the principal’s office several times a day almost every day.

Kameron’s teacher Stephanie Williams began to look for things that would be a motivation for Kameron to change his behavior. That motivation was soon revealed when she walked Kameron to the school bus early one day. She asked Charles Frierson, the bus driver, if Kameron could come on board before the other students arrived because he really loved school buses.

From that day forward, Mr. Charles and Kameron became best pals. Now Kameron’s good behavior is rewarded with getting to sit on the bus early before the other kids and spend time with Mr. Charles, who only recently switched school districts to drive for Berkeley County.

The change in Kameron has been remarkable.

“He will work all day long and he will behave and follow all directions all day long to have five minutes with Mr. Charles,” Williams said. “And ever since that day, there’s not been a problem. He’s been fantastic and wonderful.”

Eisenberg agreed and wrote a letter to the school to tell them just how much of a positive impact Mr. Charles has had on her son’s life.

“I always believed angels come when you least expect them,” Eisenberg wrote in the letter. “This holds especially true in regards to Mr. Charles, the bus driver of school bus 220 of Berkeley County South Carolina.”

She added, “There’s a reason why Mr. Charles was brought here, and there’s a reason why he’s driving Bus 220, and Kameron is the reason.”

“It has always been said that it takes a village to raise a child, yet one to make a difference. Mr. Charles has absolutely made the difference in my son,” she continued. “I would like him to know how much we truly and absolutely appreciate him for who he is and what he has done for my son.”

Seeing how Mr. Charles reacts to hearing Eisenberg’s heartwarming words shows just how much of an impact the kids have on his life too.
