A beach in Puerto Rico has become known ominously as “Dead Dog Beach” and it’s become a dumping ground for unwanted pets. But one woman is trying to do what she can to help the abandoned animals. Chrissy Beckles is the founder of The Sato Project. She and her dedicated volunteers rescue, rehabilitate and find forever homes for the discarded pets.
Beckles says she can’t understand why people would discard their family members in such a way. For her, every one of the dogs is worth fighting for. Watch as her team work around the clock to rescue a group of stray dogs and get them ready for their flight to New York, where their lives are about to become “spectacular”!
