Shea Glover asked students and teachers at her performing arts high school in Chicago if they would allow her to take a picture for a project she was doing. As she recorded them, she told them the purpose of her project, telling them “I’m taking pictures of things I find beautiful.”
It’s fascinating to see how the people respond to her simple statement. She writes on YouTube, “I want to clarify that my intentions were not to get a reaction out of people. I was simply filming beauty and this is the result. Here it is.”
I think Shea’s project is a great reminder how we should all take a moment to reflect on the beauty of the people across from us.
