Marine Pvt. Shane Martin has never missed a Christmas with his family. So when he let his family know he could not make it home for the holidays, his parents were sad.
“It’s very hard to describe, like a piece of us is missing. We are usually all together for the holidays, so this one is going to be very difficult,” his mom said during an interview with WXYZ. “And he’s the baby, so it makes it a little harder.”
What they didn’t know was that Shane had arranged a secret surprise with his sister and the Detroit news station. Watch as Martin’s parents are shocked when their interview is interrupted by their son walking through their front door!
