At first you might think this man is pushing a baby. But when you look closer you’ll see a dog inside! Jeff Shields recently learned that his 9-year-old Shih Tzu, Gracie, has congestive heart failure. Not wanting his dog to miss out on what she loves doing in her remaining time, he bought her a stroller (and a matching pink raincoat!) so that they can still go on walks. If he doesn’t use the stroller he carries the small dog in his arms.
He told WBDJ News that he goes on a stroll with Gracie seven days a week no matter what the weather.
“I’ve brought it upon myself to be sure she’s happy,” said Jeff. “Sometimes, as you can see, I’ve got a stroller but sometimes I’ll just carry her like this if I can’t take the stroller where I want to go because I want my dog to be happy.”
What a loving pet parent! It’s wonderful how much he cares and looks after her.
