After two Chihuahua-mix puppies were born prematurely and rejected by their birth mother, a Siamese cat took on the role of caregiver and protector. Nessy had recently given birth to her own kittens, so it didn’t take much prompting for her to take to nursing the two orphans.
“We took the puppies, put them on her to see if she liked them, and she loved them,” Debra Cantwell, SPCA adoption coordinator, told USA Today. The two puppies were later adopted when they were big enough!
