Homeless Dog Terrified Of Humans Recovers In Best Possible Way

Hope For Paws got a call from Toi Crawford about a scared dog living by the side of a freeway in Los Angeles. The Chihuahua was in a fenced area, so fortunately not walking by the dangerous road. But it was still a large area for the rescuers to cover.

“Barbie was so scared of humans and she wouldn’t allow anyone near her,” Eldad Hagar wrote of the dog. That included Toi, despite the fact that she had been giving the dog food and water for a week.

Eldad, Loreta, and Toi came up with a plan to corral the dog with nets and for Eldad to try and ensnare her – but Eldad didn’t hold out much hope of catching her with his snare, given her small size. But luck was on their side!

Eldad managed to snag her foot and Loreta was ready with the net! At long last “Barbie” was safe.

After getting Barbie safely to their car, they took Barbie to get washed (she was covered in fleas) and for a health check up. Soon after, she went to Smooch Pooch Rescue. And wait until you see how much she’s recovered in her foster home!
