Father Makes Powerful Plea Against Drinking And Driving

Every day, around the world people die unnecessarily in motor vehicle crashes that involve drunk driving. Although laws are tougher in many places, it still happens more than it should.

Father John Seaman experienced firsthand the seriousness of drunk driving and the lives it affects. In May 2012, his 20-year-old daughter Kellie was a victim of a drunk driver. He said that the driver responsible could only receive a maximum 10 years in jail, but that his daughter was given a life sentence.

John recently updated everyone on Kellie and it’s heartbreaking:

“For those that haven’t heard, Kellie passed away last year from her injuries. She stayed alive for 391 days and I stayed by her side. The man responsible has been sentenced to 15 years in prison. Our medical bills are almost done being handled, thank all of you who stood with us and continue the fight against drunk driving.”

Even if you aren’t personally affected by drinking and driving, it will have an impact on someone’s life and maybe someone you care about.

Please share John’s powerful message and remember to be safe on the roads!
