When Animal Aid India got a call to their helpline to rescue an injured, elderly, street dog, they found her in critical condition. She was walking in a daze on the side of the road with a terribly infected wound on her back.
She was emaciated and seemed like she didn’t really know what was going on, she just kept walking around. They brought Edith back to their shelter to urgently give her IV fluids and other medicine to treat her severe dehydration and infection.
The group writes, “We really weren’t confident that this elderly girl could survive, her condition was so fragile, but after many weeks of treatment, care and love, meet Edith today!”
