Edgar Camago is a teacher and a musician who has combined his passions to create something truly unique!
This lucky group of 3rd graders in San Francisco learned much more than the standard curriculum this year.
Edgar and his class wrote a song and made a music video together! Edgar told Reshareworthy.com, “They helped write the lyrics, melody, and even decided what sounds would be featured in the video (so yep — this is an original composition).”
“The song took about a month to complete — this included filming, composing and editing the song, and composing and editing the video,” Edgar told Reshareworthy.com.
“Overall I just think that music is all around us and I like to tap into that. I also think that this is a nice springboard to getting kids into creative arts… whether it be music making, music performing, or videography.”
Regardless of the reasons why Edgar takes the extra effort to do this with his class, the students undoubtedly get an incredible experience and special memory. “I thought it’d be a nice memento for the kiddos before fourth grade,” Edgar said, “The kids had tons of fun participating.”
