Veteran Says He Owes His Life To The Puppy He Rescued From Shelter

David Sharpe returned from duty as an Air Force security guard in the Middle East suffering from PTSD. One day, the veteran found the comfort he desperately needed in a puppy he rescued from a shelter. He named her Cheyenne.

As he spiralled downward into depression, Cheyenne ended up turning his life around. Although he couldn’t talk to anybody in his family or his support group about his problems, he found he could talk to his six-month-old Pit bull. “There’s no doubt about it,” he says now. “I owe her my life.”
