Scooby had a very rough start to life. The dog was saved from dog fighting and brought to Tracy Animal Shelter where he was given special attention to help rehabilitate him and find him a home. He found that with his dad Chris, who has taken the time to make Scooby feel loved and confident.
Recently, Chris showed just how far Scooby has come in a heartwarming video he shared on TikTok where he outlines the top three new behaviors of Scooby’s that he loves.

Chris shares that when he first brought Scooby home the dog would wake up trembling from bad dreams. With gentle words, a ThunderShirt and lots of patience and reassurance, Scooby now sleeps through the night. Another thing Scooby wouldn’t do is bark. It took several years for Scooby to find his voice. But now he knows he can bark without fear of being reprimanded. The final thing Scooby now feels comfortable doing is wagging his tail. When he first came home, his tail was always tucked between his legs. But Scooby’s dad is proud to say that Scooby is now a habitual tail wagger!
Chris says he’s had Scooby for over 6 years now and it’s wonderful that the former fighting dog has made such progress. Viewers think so too. Many people commended Chris for helping Scooby heal mentally and emotionally.

Mary Ellen Moss asked if the dog fighters who abused Scooby were punished. Chris answered on TikTok that they were. “They were convicted and Scooby couldn’t leave the shelter until they were as he was evidence – they had a previous animal cruelty charge too,” he answered. Thankfully the terrible people were convicted and that Scooby was saved. What a relief that Scooby was given a second chance and found such a loving home.
“Please give Scoob a pat on the head for me,” hin wrote.
“Done! Thank you,” juicemorph responded.
Martin wrote of Scooby, “He deserves to have his voice heard! I am so proud of him and you working with him! Give him the life he deserves.”
Scooby is getting that life right now as it’s clear to see just how happy and safe he feels with his dad.
