Border Collie Home Alone Herds Sheep Onto Family’s Porch

A sheepdog home alone got straight to work! Doc, a 14-month-old Border Collie who lives and works on a cattle and sheep farm in Dandridge, TN, got loose one morning and went “straight to work.”

Dante’s family writes, “He went down to the sheep pasture and herded the sheep out of their field, around the house, and up onto the porch.” Yes, the front porch of his family’s house!

The dog’s hard work was captured on camera!

“He was simply doing his job even though nobody was home,” his family explains. “He was only loose for a few minutes before someone came home and put him back up. There was some minor destruction of a candle and a wooden chair on the porch otherwise everyone is doing just fine.”

That’ll do, Doc. That’ll do.

Doc’s escapade reminds us of Rocky the sheep dog’s story. He too was enthusiastic about his job and brought the sheep literally home.
