Rescued Basset Hound Called ‘Untrainable’ Impresses On Agility Course

Diesel the Basset Hound was dropped off at an animal rescue because he was deemed “untrainable” by his former owners. But the dog (and his new mom) proved just how untrue that label was when he participated in a dog agility event!

Diesel showed the finesse of a pro at the AKC Agility Invitational in Orlando, Florida, although he got off to a curious start.

Diesel began his run on his back, laying down and enjoying rubbing his back on the astro turf. But then it was time to get down to business.

After successfully coaxing him up from his “warm up,” mom took him over to the course where he had to jump over fences, weave through poles and climb up the seesaw. But did he make it down the seesaw? Watch and find out.

Rescued by ABC Basset Hound Rescue, Diesel sure looked like he is enjoyed himself and the crowd loved watching him too.

That’s more than can be said for another Basset hound who needed to be coaxed into going onto the course with hilarious results. Check out that funny Basset Hound in the video here.
