Dog With Ears With Perfect ‘Beachy Waves’ And ‘Caramel Highlights’ Becomes Internet Sensation

Kerbie Gibbs wasn’t expecting her 8-month-old English Springer Spaniel, Ruger, to become Internet famous, but the moment the 21-year-old tweeted a photo of his ears and commented on his hair being a perfect example of “caramel highlights”, people went crazy for it.

Kerbie can’t help but admire how Ruger has the most beautiful hair and snapped a photo to share it on Twitter, captioning it, “My dog’s ear is like the perfect picture to show your hairdresser if you want beachy waves and caramel highlights.”

The images instantly went viral (being favorited more than 660,000 times), with many commenting how gorgeous the dog’s highlights are and sharing photos of their own dogs. Others retweeted Ruger’s photos with the hashtag #hairgoals.

Kerbie told Reshareworthy.com that Ruger comes about his beautiful hair naturally. “He spends a lot of time outdoors, so his fur has beautiful natural highlights (I may be slightly jealous).”

Just look at those highlights!

“He doesn’t have any set hair care routine, believe it or not,” Kerbie jokingly adds. “Where he spends most of his time outdoors, he gets into mud often, so he normally bathed with the garden hose. He loves it.”

Mud, sunshine and fresh air. Sounds like the perfect beauty routine for a dog, or anyone for that matter!

Ruger, it seems, is non-plussed by all the attention he’s garnering, along with people confusing him for a girl dog. “When everyone on twitter assumes you’re a female just because your hair is so luscious,” Kerbie captioned her latest photos of Ruger who is looking bemused about his fame.

When he’s not being envied for his hair, Ruger is much like many other dogs, says Kerbie. “His favorite activity is chasing people on bicycles and howling at the neighbor dogs,” she says. Her family adopted Ruger when he was 8 weeks old.

Despite his elegant looks, Ruger is actually quite clumsy and “still thinks he’s tiny” says Kerbie. “He really hasn’t got used to his big size yet. He tries to sit on people’s laps even though he’s too big.”

Share Ruger and his luscious locks with your friends and family.
