No One Ever Came Close To Dancing On Film Like The Ross Sisters Back In the 1940s

This isn’t your typical 1940s Broadway musical dance number, that’s for sure! Aggie, Maggie and Elmira were known as the Ross Sisters and in the 40s the dancers appeared in the MGM film called “Broadway Rhythm”, where their performance captured attention.

Their combination of dance and acrobatics stunned movie audiences back then and will have the same effect on viewers today. This clip from the movie starts off predictably enough, with them cheerfully singing about solid potato salad. However, around 1:00 things really kick in to high gear.

I gasped out loud several times while watching! Their acrobatic contortions stand the test of time and is as engaging and jaw-dropping now as when they first performed it.

Share the incredible Ross Sisters with your friends and family!
