One little 10-year-old boy was misbehaving so badly that his mother decided that the only thing to do was to send him to boot camp. She brought him to meet Drill Sergeant Raymond Moses on the daytime talk show Jenny Jones and the young boy’s exchange with the drill instructor is simply heart-melting.
As the drill sergeant stands over the boy, he gives it to him straight.
“You’re not an adult until you’re 18,” Moses says waving his finger in the boy’s face. “Do you want me to be your daddy for the next eight years son? Huh?!”
The little boy responds, “Yes, sir.”
The toughened drill instructor is taken aback by the boy’s response and asks him why. The boy answers simply, “I have no daddy.”
His response melts the heart of the drill instructor, who gives him a big hug in response. Moses ran a boot camp for troubled youth until 2013, and as evinced by this clip, he was tough but fair and demonstrates that Tough love goes hand-in-hand with compassion and understanding.
