This is simply magnificent! Some whale watchers in Newfoundland, Canada, were treated to a rare “double breach” when two humpbacks leapt from the water simultaneously. “We just had one of the greatest whale watching moments of our lives,” declared whale guide Joe O’Brien.
O’Brien said it’s the first one he has seen in 30 years in the business. “I can’t tell you how happy I am,” said O’Brien in an interview with The Canadian Press. “I’ve heard tales of double breaches, but I had never seen one.”
This is not the only rare double breach filmed recently. Another was caught on camera by a whale watching tour company in California.
