Broke Teen Finds Wallet Full Of Cash And Does The Right Thing

It’s always heartwarming to hear of a stranger doing a good, honest deed, even if it’s as simple a thing as returning a lost wallet. In this instance, the wallet had $2,300 cash inside and the person who found it was teenager Tommy O’Connor.

Tommy had just left his high school to get a soda from the convenience store across the street when he found the wallet lying on the ground. Although he didn’t count the cash at the time, he figured it was someone’s rent, given it was a lot of cash.

Without hesitation, Tommy immediately gave the wallet to a teacher’s aide at his school and the wallet was returned to its rightful owner, who happened to be a veteran.

When Tommy’s mother, Sherry, heard what her son did, she sent him the following text:“I’m very proud of you son. Ms Kalra called me. Wow, you are one in a million. Love you to the moon and back.

To which Tommy replied:“You should be thanking yourself you raised me.”

According to the KPIX News, Tommy’s family is living month-to-month on a fixed income. Just the day before he found the wallet, he did not have enough money to buy lunch. Tommy did receive $50 as reward from the wallet’s grateful owner.

Now that’s a young man raised right!
