Boy Bullies A Girl On Facebook And End Up Getting A Lesson He’ll Never Forget

A video of a schoolyard fight between a girl and boy at Sononoma Valley High School has gone viral after the girl, who attends attends the nearby Creekside High School, is seen kneeing the boy in the face. The fight apparently started when the boy made comments on her Facebook page and she confronted him. Some students said the boy threw water at her before she beat him up, although this was not recorded in the video.

Brazilian jiu-jitsu fighter Kit Dale got the girl’s permission to post the video of the fight on his Facebook page in February 2016. Since then, the video has been viewed more than 16 million times and has been shared more than 100,000 times.

“I always encourage people to learn martial arts to one, have the confidence to walk away so it doesn’t affect you, but if it does and you don’t have anywhere to back away, sometimes you’re going to need that to protect yourself,” Dale told ABC 7 News.

According to the news channel, the girl was suspended and was charged with one count of battery on school grounds and will be referred to the Sonoma Valley Youth and Family Services program.

The school district has acknowledged the fight began when a student posted something online which upset the teenage girl but they wish the video had not gone viral and said some comments online were not accurate about the situation. The district didn’t explain, however, what information was inaccurate.

The fight has outraged some parents who want to see the school address the issues of bullying and social media more thoroughly.

What do you think of what happened? Was the girl’s response understandable?
