What if you saw a veteran struggling to buy food or diapers for his baby? Would you help or turn away? ABC’s What Would You Do? posed the question in this video segment they recently filmed in San Antonio, Texas.
They got an actor to pose as a veteran soldier and when he approaches the cashier to pay for his groceries, his credit card is declined. He hints to the cashier that times are tough and that he has a new baby at home. Time and again people step forward to help, some are struggling deeply themselves. But watching what they did made me tear up and reassured me that kindness is alive and well!
