Military homecomings are always emotional, especially around the holidays. For Aronka Robertson, her husband had been away on military deployment and was about to come home. Her son was missing his father terribly. That’s when Aronka pulled out the camera and filmed this touching video of her son’s reaction to his father’s surprise homecoming.
Her son appears to have just come home form school and is wearing his jacket and backpack. Mom tells him “Today we gotta go get dad.” Her son is surprised and then excited by the news. “We’re getting him right now?” he asks excitedly. His mother says “yes” and panning the camera over, you see the kitchen table filled with “welcome home” gifts.
She then tells him to go get dressed first and the boy immediately bolts out of the room and up the stairs only to be blocked in his tracks by his dad! Needless to say, the boy is overcome with emotion.
