This could have gotten ugly, but what happened instead brought a smile to my face!
This took place in an episode known as “The Purple Tunnel of Doom” where thousands of people with coveted tickets to see President Barack Obama’s inaugural ceremony in 2009 and were instead kept out of the Washington Capitol and left waiting in a tunnel below the National Mall because space ran out.
Despite the disappointment of not getting in to the party, hundreds of ticket holders made the best it and joined in singing “Lean on Me”. Share this with your friends and give them something to smile about!
