Rescue Shelter Parodies ‘Uptown Funk’ For The Best Cause

Great Danes. Dachshunds. Pit Bulls. And so much more are in this cute, funny, and important video filmed at the East Bay SPCA.

This is just great! The East Bay SPCA in California came up with an catchy way to get their adoptable pets noticed. They created this music video based on Bruno Mars’ “Uptown Funk” and are calling their version “Oaktown Pup”.

The upbeat video features all of the shelter’s adoptable animals (including Great Danes, Pit Bulls and Dachshunds) with fun lyrics like “Read my tag you know who I am, too cute. And I’m ready to go home.”

The SPCA is hoping that “Oaktown Pup” will bring more attention to dogs and cats up for adoption as well as encourage people to spay and neuter their pets.

I love it! After singing along, I’m sure you’ll want to share it with your friends and family too!
