Mouse Outsmarts Farm Dogs With Daring Escape Move
A pair of Labrador Retrievers think it’s their job to root out mice on their family’s farm. The black Lab, in particular, takes his role very seriously. But on this particular occasion, the mouse outsmarts the dogs and makes a daring escape.
TikTokker @nobullfarm shared a hilarious video of the two dogs trying to sniff out a mouse she suspects is hiding in a wooden bench. She writes, “My black Lab thinks he is my livestock guardian dog and he will cause a ruckus if there is a mouse. If he finds a mouse, he makes so much noise and he is so happy because he thinks he’s saving all of us from predators.”
The yellow Lab pulls the bench down, and the two dogs root around in one corner, convinced that’s where the mouse is. But in fact, the mouse has climbed up one of the bench’s legs. Pausing as if to consider its options, the clever rodent makes a daring move—leaping onto the back of one of the dogs!
NoBull is delighted to see the mouse springing off the black dog’s back and disappearing into the bushes. The black Lab, oblivious to what just happened, simply returns to sniffing the bench.
Viewers loved the mouse’s bold escape. One wrote, “‘Barkour’—the mouse, probably.” Another quipped, “Straight out of a cartoon.”
These dogs remind us of the dog who tried to catch a squirrel on a stump only to get thwarted by the squirrel’s clever quick moves.
