A brave man who heard cries for help coming from the reeds in a marsh plunged into the water determined to save the animal. The man is filmed by others assisting him in the rescue.
As he wades out into the water, the rescuer is forced to swim in the frigid waters to rescue the animal, which turns out to be a young heron.
Thankfully, the man reaches the bird in time to save her from drowning. The poor bird’s legs were wrapped up in fishing line and she had become ensnared in the reeds.
But the rescue team helps free her and soon after she flies off majestically.
Viewers of the video, which quickly garnered over 4 million views, applauded the rescuer’s efforts.
