When Jona was told her parents had eaten all her candy, her reaction catches her parents completely off-guard.
Jona listens closely when her mom tells her that she has something to tell her. “We’re very sorry but last night we ate all of your candy.” She stares at her mom as a look of disbelief begins to cross her face. Her lip pouts out and her mom repeats “All of it.” Jona simply blinks so her mom asks “Are you upset?”
That’s when the little girl shakes her head and tells her mom that she still loves you.
I’m sure her mom feels a pang of regret for teasing her daughter, but she also must be feeling a swell of pride that she has such a sweet, forgiving little girl.
