Jordan Bone often gets asked “What’s wrong with your hands?” when she uploads a video to YouTube. Jordan has popular beauty tutorials online, but because of the way she edits them, people were not aware that she has only partial use of her arms. In the video below, she explains she became a tetraplegic after a car accident 10 years ago.
Although she can’t comb her hair or put on clothes, something she can do is her own make up. Relearning how to do it, however, was a struggle. She cursed her hands as useless, but she persevered and every day she would apply her make up. And every day she got better. “It’s insane how much we grow with the challenges we face,” she says. “I know life will get better.”
