Lamanda Brown and her four kids were given the surprise of their life recently when they walked through a fully furnished home after three years of of homelessness.
The family transitioned to public housing thanks to the non-profit Humble Design, which assists families coming out of homeless and abuse shelters with the process of rebuilding their home lives. The organization provides all the furnishing through donations and repurposing gently used household goods.
When the Browns enter their new home, and the children see their own beds, they could not hold back their excitement or their tears.
