Every wedding has its mix of traditions at the wedding reception. Oftentimes, the bride throws her bouquet of flowers and friends and family make toasts. At this New Zealand wedding, the bride and groom’s family and friends performed a Haka dance!
The bride got emotional watching the stirring performance by her guests, and the groom joins in at the end. The intense dance has struck a chord in millions of viewers too.
The haka was a sign of respect from her husband’s best man and family. Both bride and groom are Maori, and the Haka dance is a traditional war cry/dance but can also be performed to welcome special guests and at celebrations.
