Tiana is only 6-years-old but she has a lot of wisdom and a lot of advice for her estranged parents. As she explains to her mom, she wants her to be friends with her dad even though they are divorced. She’s not trying to be mean, she just wants everyone to be friends. “If I can be nice, I think all of us can be nice too,” she implores her mom.
Her mother, Cherish Sherry, posted her daughter’s heartfelt lecture on Facebook and Tiana’s honest words immediately resonated with people and has gone viral.
Sometimes it takes a child to remind adults how to behave and what’s important in life! Sherry said that her daughter’s words were a wake-up call and brought tears to her eyes. “I was stunned by it,” she said. “She is teaching me. Woke me up.”
