Many animal rescues struggle to find fosterers to help with the many homeless dogs they take in. The dogs they take in are often abused and neglected and need rehabilitation and socialization to have a chance at adoption.
“Dogs On The Inside” is a documentary that explores the beneficial partnership between a dog shelter and a Massachusetts prison that is giving both the dogs and the inmates an opportunity to bond and grow.
It’s amazing to see the friendship and understanding that blossoms between them. The dogs become “the lifeline, the oxygen” for the men behind bars and in return, the inmates give the dogs a real second chance!
