Olive the rescue dog has strong opinions about the new automatic feeder her mom bought her. For one thing, she doesn’t understand that food doesn’t come out of the hatch when she paws it. After all that’s what happens with her puzzle toys. Then there’s the fact that it only dispenses kibble three times a day. Only. Three. Times. What is up with that?

Her mom, Hailey explains that Olive thinks the automatic feeder is a “fancy puzzle toy.”
But don’t feel bad for Olive. There are very good reasons why this rescue pup is not getting free fed. For one she has hip dysplasia. It’s very important for dogs with this condition to not gain weight and put extra strain on their joints. Also she’s getting the proper, recommended amount for her size and what her vet recommends. But she also gets lots of fruit and vegetable snacks throughout the day too.

Olive was rescued from the Marcopa County Animal Care and Control shelter in Arizona and is a happy gal. For those that might want to hear from Olive herself on what she thinks of all the fuss over her viral video, she has a message for everyone.
