A dog got a wonderful send-off at the vet hospital that treated his life-threatening injuries for over a month. Luck the dog was shot by robbers and spent 54 days recovering at hospital.
Fortunately, the sweet Golden Retriever pulled through three surgeries and all his post-op care. So when it came time for him to finally be released from hospital, the staff decided to give him a “heroic goodbye.”
They lined the hallway as Luck’s parents ushered him out. With much applause and cheering, Luck happily strode down the hall looking up at his well-wishers and wagging his tail. Luck looks so happy to finally be going home and his dad is so relieved that he stops to hug many of the staff, no doubt eternally grateful that his dog pulled through such a terrible ordeal!
The video was shared by GoodNewsCorrespondent on Twitter and quickly went viral. After all, what’s not to love? Viewers were touched how Luck patiently waited for his dad to finish his goodbyes. “The man giving genuine hugs and the dog watching and waiting at the end,” the viewer wrote. And another noted that Luck seemed eager to be on his way, ready to get home and spend time with his family once again.
