Disabled Chicken Now Has ‘Thirst For Life’ After Getting Boots

A tiny rescued chicken has learned to walk thanks to his caregiver getting him boots! Meesh was asked to take in a chicken who has no tips to any of his toes. She decided to name him Nubs. She immediately noticed that he didn’t move much around her farm and guessed it might be pain that was preventing him from moving around. Meesh realized she had a pair of old dog shoes and thought she’d give it a try.

Within a week Nubs got used to walking around with the boots. Now he’s got around 30 pairs! The change in Nubs has been pretty remarkable. “He has a lot more attitude,” Meesh said. He’s also got a lot more confidence with his boots on, which is great because, according to Meesh, “He’s a curious little dude.”

Nubs now regularly appears in adorable videos that Meesh posts to TikTok.

@calliopenubz The cuteness of this little toeless chicken just never gets old. Happy Friday everyone!
