They only had her a few days but this baby fox stole their hearts. Beau Ouimette and his wife were out looking for gems when they discovered a wounded baby fox. The poor creature was dehydrated and had a bloody wound on its neck. The kit staggered weakly towards them, mewling and alone.
Fortunately, Beau’s wife is a veterinarian and they were both up-to-date on their rabies vaccinations so they could safely rescue her!
The second video below shows the baby fox just 5 days later and what an amazing difference! The couple ended up taking her to Blue Ridge Wildlife Center were she could be properly rehabilitated!
Watching her being hand-fed warmed my heart so much. I’m glad they were able to save her.
