It was 2002, and Tim and Wendy looked as if they had walked off the set of a 80’s heavy metal music video. They hadn’t changed their hairstyles in more than a decade, and their fashion sense hadn’t changed much either. Whereas common fashion advice is to re-evaluate our hairstyles every two years, these two were stuck in a time warp! That’s why their friends wrote to Oprah and told her that the couple were in desperate need of a makeover.
Even Tim and Wendy, who referred to themselves as “Rock ‘n’ Roll Hair Couple”, admitted their long hair made them look 10 years older than they actually were. Tim hadn’t cut his hair since 1985 and said he looked 50, but he was actually 43 at the time. And Wendy hadn’t cut her hair since 1992 and her friends had only seen her hair done up in a bun.
